This blog just received it’s 10,000th hit. In a little over 8 months, there have been 10,000 visits to this blog. If you’re one of them, then thank you, especially if you’re a regular!
I feel like I should dedicate this 10,000 hit post to Glenn Ligon. Back in August I posted about Glenn Ligon’s Condition Report, a post which has received nearly 10% of my blog hits. In fact, if you google “Glenn Ligon Condition Report”, guess what’s at the top of the list…
But, in the end, it isn’t really about the number of hits. The aim of this blog is pretty simple – to enjoy the arts and what artists have to say. But I do it as a citizen of a universe created by God – one which bears his fingerprints, the hallmarks of the One who made it. It’s also a universe which is fallen and where rebellion is rife. As each of us tries to work out where we fit in the world, there are big questions to ask. This blog is partly about exploring those questions as we engage with the arts. And from time to time I hear that this blog has helped people to do that.
That’s what the blog is about.
